Runway Fasteners has held the corner at 14 Runway Drive, Marcoola since 2004. In August 2025, Mitch Barr bought the business with a simple conviction: the fastener industry has been coasting for decades — old systems, inconsistent pricing, take-it-or-leave-it service — and tradies deserve better. Someone has to raise the standard. That's the whole reason Runway exists.
Mitch spent 22 years on the other side of the counter — glazing sales, then commercial contract administration across $86M+ of projects — watching good builders get treated like interruptions by their own suppliers. Runway is the answer to that: real product knowledge, stock on the shelf, one honest price, modern systems, and genuine respect for the people who build. Not a slogan on the wall — the way the place runs, every day, from 5:30am.
